An employee has left, a dispute begins, and IT hands over their mailbox as a .pst of several gigabytes. You need the exchanges with one customer over a few months, without reading their personal messages.

What changes

  • The mailbox stays on your computer

    The PST is read by your browser, in chunks. It goes to no provider, and there is no processing agreement to sign to look at it.

  • Search without reading everything

    Search in subjects, senders and bodies, filters by period, sender, folder and attachments. On a generated 6 GB PST, search answers in 0.6 seconds.

  • Personal messages set aside

    Messages marked personal or private, and those in folders named "Personal" or "Private", are set aside by default. Including them is an explicit choice, which the screen points out.

  • Produce what is useful

    The messages kept become PDFs with their record, or go into a file of numbered exhibits with its list.

The framework

In France, messages an employee has marked as personal are covered by the secrecy of correspondence, even in a mailbox provided by the employer; those not marked as such are in principle presumed to be work-related. That is the reason for setting them aside by default: Klarinbox cannot stop anyone from reading a message, but it need not make it easy.
